We are pleased to announce that on 31 March 2026, entities controlled by TDR Capital IV sold NKD Group (“NKD”) to Mr Price Group, one of the largest publicly listed retail groups in South Africa.
Since our acquisition in 2019, NKD has been transformed into a European leader in the value retail sector in the application of data-driven decision making across its business operations, through the establishment and build-out of a significant in-house data science capability. This has driven above market growth and profitability gains. NKD has also successfully optimised its c.2,200-store estate and expanded its footprint outside of its home markets of Germany and Austria with over 660 new stores opened since 2019.
