Transaction

The idea for ilke Homes was born from TDR’s knowledge of modular manufacturing (Modulaire Group) and UK residential construction (Keepmoat Homes).

With TDR financial backing, ilke Homes was incorporated as a standalone business in 2017 and within a year, was delivering houses to a range of customers from a market-leading manufacturing facility in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.

Ilke is partnering with a range of leading housing associations, strategic land owners, real estate investors and developers to transform how housing is built in the UK.

Since TDR’s investment

We have supported ilke Homes with the development of its factory and business operations, as well as with securing funding and new contracts. The company has successfully secured external funding from the Homes England Home Building Fund, which is an acknowledgment of the importance of the new modular housing industry and ilke’s position within it. Furthermore, in December 2022 ilke raised another £100 million equity from new and existing shareholders, following successive years of triple-digit growth. The equity funding is the largest-ever raised by a UK modular housebuilder.
