Our strategy is to identify and invest in a limited number of companies with characteristics that suit our approach. We are single-minded in our pursuit of opportunities that provide scope to create value through a combination of operational improvements and innovative financing.

 

Our intense pre-investment analysis and post-investment involvement mean that we are selective, typically making only one to three investments a year. We develop deep understanding of sectors and companies to identify those with hidden value and only invest if businesses meet our rigorous selection criteria. We are straightforward to deal with and remain 100% committed to deals that we choose to pursue.

 

We are responsible owners and we believe understanding the operational aspects of a business as well as the finance allows us to manage risk effectively and generate extra value. We take an active role in the operational running of our investments, working in partnership with management to solve problems together through board membership and the provision of professional support.

 

We constantly question and search for new ways to realise further value from our investments through innovation, operational improvement, refinancing and investment in sound ideas and further acquisitions. We challenge our team and management to be proactive, creative and pragmatic, and will apply unconventional solutions to make things happen.
